a) has difficulty understanding what people say or takes a long time to process what is said b) has difficulty expressing thoughts and ideas c) has difficulty eating or swallowing d) has difficulty saying particular sounds e) has difficulty expressing thoughts and ideas -- substituting one sound for another (dum for gum) -- omitting a sound -- distorting a sound f) has difficulty hearing g) uses a voice that is hoarse, harsh, breathy, nasal, or excessively loud h) has difficulty with the flow or rhythm of speech (stuttering) i) is inattentive j) has difficulty with conversation skills: talks at you instead of with you, has minimal eye contact, or has difficulty reading facial expressions and body language.
